CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
If you are compelled to cancel your trip for any reason, please send a written message as soon as possible. The following policies will apply for cancellations and refunds.
Please be aware that our experiences are tailor-made, and we will endeavor to recover all costs whenever possible.
FORCE MAJEURE
Pumandes does not assume any responsibility, nor will it reimburse or indemnify you, in the event that the fulfillment of our contractual obligations is hindered or impaired, or if you suffer losses, injuries, death, inconvenience, or damages, as a result of “force majeure” circumstances. However, we may offer you an alternative if circumstances permit and provide support as a travel agency.
The existence of force majeure entails unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control or that of our providers, whose consequences neither Pumandes nor its providers could avoid. This includes, among others, war or threat of war, riots, civil war, terrorist activity (real or threatened), action by any government or other national or local authority, including port or river authorities, labor disputes, technical problems with transportation, machinery, or equipment; power outages or failures, natural or nuclear disasters, fires, floods, droughts, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, epidemics, or disease outbreaks, and water levels in rivers.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Please note that Pumandes does not administer, control, or operate any of the air, land, or water transportation providers, accommodations, food and beverage, and related travel services. All these entities are independent providers, so Pumandes Travel is not responsible for the negligent or willful acts of such providers, individuals, or third parties. Additionally, we are not responsible for any injury, illness, or death, loss of your belongings, irregularities, delays, quarantines, civil disturbances, detentions, etc., as a result of force majeure that may arise during the course of your trip. On the other hand, there are many inherent risks to adventure travel that may cause illnesses, injuries, or even death. These risks are heightened because some itineraries take place in remote locations, far from medical facilities and other important services; the traveler assumes all risks associated with their participation in these trips.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
Please ensure you have the appropriate travel documents to start your travel experience smoothly, such as passports, visas, vaccinations (which depend greatly on nationality and the country being visited), and tourist cards. If you are traveling with minors under 18 years of age, you should contact your international company for detailed information on requirements. To book air flights, hotels, trains, and obtain permits at various tourist sites in Peru, we will use the information provided in your booking form (full names, passport number, and date of birth must be correct). If you do not provide this information on time or if it is incorrect, we are not responsible for the lack of availability. In case you change or renew your passport, you must carry both the old and new passports.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Before starting your trip to Peru, we recommend purchasing travel insurance in your country. Travel insurance is a fundamental tool that provides protection before and during your trip against medical expenses due to illness, accidents, flight or luggage loss, cancellations, repatriation, and even telephone and legal assistance in some cases, etc. Be sure to contract a travel insurance policy with the necessary coverage according to your needs.
